Your new organisation Join a high-performing Federal Government team responsible for delivering strategic communications for complex, high-impact programs. This position is suited to a strategic thinker who thrives in complex environments and enjoys translating technical information into clear, compelling narratives. Your new role
Lead strategic communications planning and delivery for major programs, announcements and initiatives. Provide high-level communications advice to senior leaders and stakeholders, including Ministerial engagements and major project milestones. Develop clear and engaging messaging on complex issues for diverse audiences. Oversee external communications providers and campaigns. Manage media, stakeholder and reputational risks in a fast-paced environment. Oversee the creation of communication products including speeches, media materials, digital content and executive briefs. Build strong relationships across government and external stakeholder groups. Use audience insights, analytics and evaluation to continuously improve communications outcomes. Mentor and support communications capability within the broader team.
What you'll need to succeed
NV1 clearance is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills and managing media Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and accessible communications A collaborative leadership style and the ability to navigate competing priorities. Knowledge of Australia's foreign policy objectives and engagement
