  • Conducting route performance analysis, including travel distances, delivery times, fuel usage, driver allocation and delivery completion performance.
  • Assisting with the planning and optimisation of delivery routes across metropolitan, regional and border areas of New South Wales and towards the Victorian border.
  • Monitoring delivery performance and identifying trends relating to delays, failed or incomplete deliveries, route inefficiencies and operational bottlenecks.
  • Preparing reports and analysis on key logistics and transport performance indicators, including fleet utilisation, delivery volumes, route performance, operating costs and productivity.
  • Analysing transport and logistics data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of improved scheduling, dispatch and delivery planning processes.
  • Reviewing operational workflows and recommending improvements to enhance the efficient coordination of drivers, vehicles and delivery activities.
  • Assisting management with forecasting vehicle, driver and operational resource requirements based on delivery volumes and business requirements.
  • Monitoring operational costs and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency in areas such as fuel consumption, vehicle utilisation and delivery routing.
  • Liaising with drivers, transport personnel, operational staff, customers and management to coordinate the efficient flow and delivery of goods.
  • Contributing to strategic and operational decision-making by providing accurate logistics, transport and performance analysis to senior management.

Skills Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools, transport management systems and other relevant logistics software.
  • Sound understanding of transport, logistics, fleet operations, route planning, delivery scheduling and freight distribution processes.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage and analyse multiple operational activities across a geographically dispersed delivery network.
  • Sound understanding of fleet utilisation, route optimisation, transport scheduling and logistics coordination.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively with drivers, operational personnel, management and other stakeholders.
