Salary: $82,000 plus 12% superannuation Position: Full time, Permanent

Our client, The Fresh Fruit Team Pty Ltd is a family-owned wholesale fresh produce business operating from Sydney Markets at Homebush. The Fresh Fruit Team source fruit and vegetables from Australian growers and other suppliers and supply a broad commercial client base including hospitals, racecourses, nursing homes, clubs, restaurants and food-service operators across metropolitan Sydney.

The Fresh Fruit Team also operates value-added processing and packing lines for prepared products and have integrated the Uncle Tony’s Fruit Barn business into its operations.

The Fresh Fruit Team are seeking a highly analytical and detail-focused Supply and Distribution Analyst to join its team and help improve the flow of product from supplier to customer. This is a key role in a fast-paced, perishable-goods environment where efficiency, accuracy, cold-chain integrity and strong decision-making make a real difference to business performance. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, procurement, dispatch, warehouse, processing and management teams to turn data into practical improvements.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Operations, Commerce or a related discipline.
• At least one year of relevant post-qualification experience in supply chain, logistics or analytical roles

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing strategies to optimise supply chain operations and reduce operational inefficiencies, waste, and stock variances.
• Analyse end-to-end product flow across procurement, receiving, washing and packing, value-added processing, cool storage, picking, dispatch and delivery.
• Review supplier and grower performance against quality, cost, fill-rate and lead-time benchmarks.
• Support demand forecasting, stock planning and route optimisation.
• Prepare dashboards, reports, supplier scorecards and management recommendations.
• Contributing to strategic decision-making through operational, financial, and procurement reporting for senior management.
• Support implementation of process improvements and track benefits achieved.
• Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to validate data and improve workflows
• Supporting the implementation of approved continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain function.
• Reviewing product delivery processes, cold-chain logistics, and warehouse workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Supporting warehouse optimisation initiatives including storage layout modelling, replenishment processes, picking performance, and workflow redesign.
• Preparing analysis reports on procurement effectiveness, supplier performance, product cost trends, and operational variances.

Skills Requirements:

• Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills, including reporting and data modelling.
• Experience with process mapping, root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Good understanding of cold-chain principles, traceability and food-safety requirements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams in a busy environment.
• Sound understanding of warehousing operations, product handling, and distribution processes within the wholesale food industry.
• Strong relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills across stakeholders including suppliers, warehouse teams, transport partners, and management.

Location and reporting

The role is based at Sydney Markets in Homebush, with occasional visits to supplier sites, cold storage facilities and customer delivery points within the Sydney metropolitan area. The position reports to the Operations Manager and works closely with the Director on commercial and process improvement matters
