Serviceperson | 8/6 FIFO from Townsville, Cairns or Brisbane | Temp to Perm Your new company Your new company is a well established mining operation in North West Queensland. Supporting mobile plant, heavy equipment and processing infrastructure, you'll play a key role in keeping site operations running efficiently and safely. Your new role We are seeking an experienced Serviceperson for a temp-to-perm opportunity on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns. Working across the mine site, processing plant and bore field areas, you'll be responsible for the servicing, refuelling and maintenance support of heavy mining equipment and mobile plant. Duties may include but are not limited to:

Operating and maintaining a service truck to complete daily servicing and refuelling activities Conducting pre-starts, scheduled servicing and operational inspections Replacing filters, checking fluid levels, lubricating components and completing hose inspections Servicing heavy mining equipment, mobile plant and crushing assets Monitoring and maintaining stocks of oils, lubricants and consumables Completing tyre inspections and reporting defects Assisting maintenance contractors and trades personnel with servicing and breakdown activities Identifying, reporting and addressing hazards in accordance with site safety procedures Maintaining high housekeeping standards across work areas and site infrastructure

What you'll need to succeed:   

Current HR Driver Licence

Proven experience operating a service truck within mining, civil, quarrying or heavy industry environments

Demonstrated experience servicing and refuelling heavy equipment Sound mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance skills Knowledge of heavy mining equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, graders and haul trucks Strong commitment to safety and compliance Ability to work independently in a remote FIFO environment Police Check
