Act as part of a high-profile Defence program supporting the C4ISR Design Authority within the Department of Defence. You will be working within a specialist directorate responsible for ensuring the successful integration and assurance of autonomous systems and AI technologies across the Joint Force. Coming from a Senior Systems Engineering background, you will provide expert-level systems engineering support focused on AI and Autonomous Systems Assurance.

Delivering systems engineering support across complex Defence environments

Providing technical assurance for AI and autonomous systems integration

Developing and maintaining system architectures, models, and design artefacts

Supporting the development of standards, frameworks, and design guidance

Contributing to project reviews, assessments, and governance activities

Producing monthly deliverables and technical reports

Engaging with stakeholders and contributing to briefings for senior decision-makers

You will operate within a model-based systems engineering (MBSE) environment, underpinning design and assurance activities

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience as a Systems Engineer (Level 3 or Level 4 equivalent)

Strong background in Defence, national security, or complex regulated environments

Experience in:

C4ISR systems and interoperability

AI and/or autonomous systems integration or assurance

Hands-on capability in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)

Strong stakeholder engagement and technical advisory skills

Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and deliverables

A current PV clearance (mandatory)
