About the Team

EMR Services maintains and evolves Monash Health's Electronic Medical Record, ensuring it supports safe, efficient and contemporary models of care. The team works closely with clinicians and digital specialists to optimise workflows, improve user experience and support the ongoing digital transformation of the health service.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join our Digital Applications & Architecture team as Senior Manager - Ancillary Services.

Reporting to the Head of EMR Services, this role leads the operational, technical and people management functions of Monash Health's Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Ancillary Services portfolio. You will oversee a team of approximately nine specialists and be responsible for the delivery, optimisation and ongoing support of critical EMR capabilities that underpin patient access, registration, security, tracking and other foundational workflows across the organisation.

As Senior Manager - Ancillary Services, you will lead the EMR capabilities that underpin patient flow, access, registration, security and foundational clinical workflows across Monash Health. Reporting to the Head of EMR Services, you will be responsible for maintaining operational stability while driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic change initiatives. Working in partnership with the Senior Manager - Documentation Services, you will help coordinate EMR delivery, workforce planning and project participation across a diverse portfolio of initiatives that require collaboration across multiple digital streams.

What We're Looking For

You are an experienced digital health or health technology leader who thrives in complex environments and enjoys balancing operational excellence with strategic thinking.

To be successful, you will bring:

Significant experience leading teams within public healthcare and EMR environments.

Demonstrated success delivering and supporting EMR workflows and services.

Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring and workforce planning.

Experience engaging and influencing senior clinical, operational and executive stakeholders.

Highly developed communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities.

A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Health Information Management or a related discipline.

Experience in healthcare or digital health is highly regarded.

Desirable qualifications include postgraduate studies and industry certifications such as ITIL, Prince2, PMP, CHIA, TOGAF or SAFe.
