We are currently recruiting for multiple lawyer positions within a respected NSW Government agency. These are excellent opportunities for experienced workers compensation or personal injury lawyers seeking a high-impact role with flexibility and the chance to gain valuable government experience.

Your new role

Working within a specialist legal team, you will utilise your legal expertise to assess and manage funding applications, provide advice on complex legal issues and contribute to the delivery of high-quality legal services. You will also identify opportunities for early resolution of matters, prepare legal advice and correspondence, and contribute to policy and procedural improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and determine applications for legal assistance and grant funding.
  • Provide legal advice on workers compensation and related legal matters.
  • Draft legal advice, submissions, briefing notes, funding decisions and correspondence.
  • Identify and manage complex legal issues and associated risks.
  • Contribute to policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with legal practitioners and other key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed

You will bring:

  • A current Australian practicing certificate.
  • Strong experience in workers compensation and/or personal injury law.
  • Excellent drafting, analytical and statutory interpretation skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
