Your new company

A 3-month temporary opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a WA Government organisation on a temporary contract. Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will provide both operational and strategic human resources support across a range of people-related initiatives.

Your new role

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide expert HR advice and support while contributing to key workforce projects and organisational initiatives. Duties will include:

  • Providing advice and support on a broad range of HR matters

  • Assisting with employee relations and performance management matters

  • Coordinating employee investigations conducted by external consultants

  • Assisting with the development, reviewing and updating policies, procedures and templates

  • Creating and reviewing HR templates and documentation, including Performance Improvement Plans

  • Supporting audit activities and actioning outstanding compliance items

  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and practices

  • Supporting strategic HR projects as required

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar role

  • Demonstrated experience working within the WA public sector

  • Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies and best practice principles

  • Experience managing employee relations and performance management matters

  • Strong policy and procedure development skills

  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
