Your new company
Hays are currently partnering with one of Victoria’s most prominent residential builders who are seeking an experienced draftsperson to join their team working on bespoke custom build projects .

Your new role
As a senior Draftsperson you will oversee all drafting activities across the division of the business.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

Project Review and Drafting:
Working with all key internal stakeholders, to ensure projects align with business capabilities and solve design-related problems
Produce and coordinate detailed construction drawings, either personally or by outsourcing.
Maintain a system for producing quality documentation by adhering to company standards and developing checklists.
Identify trends from errors/issues and recommend process improvements.
Ensure urgency in meeting company expectations and contribute to weekly workflow updates.
Ensure drafted projects meet business activity standards, minimising errors/reworks/RFIs.
Demonstrate strong attention to detail.

What you’ll need to succeed
Being a key and senior role within this division, it will be anticipated that as the successful candidate you will possess the following skills and competencies
Proven work history within a residential building organisation environment and in-depth knowledge of volume home building
Strong working knowledge of BCA and codes
Revit proficiency preferable
Strong analytical skills and ability to problem-solve
Proven experience of working and contributing as part of a high-performing team
