For this contract you will be joining a high-profile Defence program within a major government agency, supporting the delivery of a complex maritime capability acquisition initiative. Your new role
As a Project Manager, you will support senior leadership decision-making by leading the development, coordination, and delivery of high-quality briefing materials on complex and sensitive issues.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will collaborate with stakeholders across government and industry to ensure consistent, accurate, and timely outputs.
Leading the end-to-end development of briefings, submissions, and executive materials
Translating complex issues into clear, structured, decision-ready advice
Coordinating stakeholder input to ensure aligned messaging and positioning
Managing competing priorities, timelines, and dependencies
Supporting governance forums with briefing packs and executive documentation
Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including mobilisation activities
Engaging senior stakeholders to shape messaging and resolve complex issues
Supporting workforce and stakeholder integration initiatives
Tracking actions, approvals, and dependencies across governance processes
Mentoring team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
Proven experience as a Project Manager in Defence or large government programs
Strong experience preparing executive-level briefings and submissions
Ability to translate complex information into clear insights for decision-makers
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills at senior executive level
Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder delivery environments
Strong organisational, governance, and coordination capability
Ability to manage sensitive or classified information
NV1 security clearance (minimum) or ability to obtain
