Your new company

This established Townsville-based organisation is undertaking a significant data quality and system improvement project to enhance the accuracy and consistency of its product catalogue and ERP system. With a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement, the business is seeking a detail-oriented administrator to support this important initiative.

Your new role

As a Product Data Auditor, you will play a key role in reviewing, correcting, and standardising approximately 8,000 part records within a leading ERP system. This is a detail-focused role requiring accuracy, consistency, and the ability to maintain high-quality product data while following established standards and processes.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing part records against an audit spreadsheet and established data standards

  • Updating and standardising product descriptions and naming conventions

  • Verifying and correcting part numbers

  • Reviewing and updating product images

  • Maintaining and enhancing product search terms

  • Checking pricing structures and identifying discrepancies

  • Confirming products are assigned to the correct catalogue groups

  • Recording audit outcomes, comments, and follow-up actions

  • Updating and maintaining accurate data within ERP systems and Excel

  • Escalating uncertain or incomplete information for review

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in data entry, data cleansing, data auditing, or catalogue administration
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including filtering, sorting, and working with large datasets
  • Confidence working within ERP, database, or business management systems
  • Excellent written English and the ability to follow strict formatting standards
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work independently and maintain consistent quality
Desirable:
  • Experience using simPRO or similar ERP software
  • Experience maintaining product catalogues or inventory data
  • Exposure to mechanical, engineering, industrial, hydraulic, or fastener terminology
