Our client, Planco Construction, is a trusted and reputable building company based in Perth, Western Australia, with over seven years of industry experience. The company specialises in delivering quality residential and commercial construction projects and has successfully completed a diverse range of developments across Perth and surrounding suburbs. Planco Construction undertakes commercial buildings, residential homes, renovations, extensions and a variety of construction-related projects throughout Western Australia and Victoria.

Planco Construction is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration and operational functions of the business. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive professional who can effectively manage office operations, support project teams and senior management, and contribute to the efficient delivery of construction projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  • AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma, or equivalent qualification, with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Minimum one year experience in office administration, office management or operations management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills.
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

In this role your main responsibilities include:

  • Lead and oversee all day-to-day office operations, ensuring efficient administration and business support services.
  • Develop, implement and monitor office procedures, administrative systems and document control processes.
  • Coordinate and support project teams by maintaining project records, schedules, correspondence and documentation.
  • Manage office budgets, monitor expenditure and prepare financial and operational reports for management.
  • Coordinate procurement activities, including purchasing office supplies and liaising with suppliers and service providers.
  • Supervise administrative staff and assist with workforce planning, recruitment coordination and employee onboarding processes.
  • Maintain company records, licences, permits and insurance documentation to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and manage travel and appointment schedules for management and project personnel.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor and improve office systems and processes to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures and occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Provide high-level administrative support to directors and senior management as required.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Previous experience within the construction, building or trade services industry will be highly regarded.
