Our client, Mockingbird Fresh Pty Limited is a leading Australian supplier of fresh vegetables and a vertical farming company committed to providing high-quality produce to retailers, restaurants and food service providers. The company takes pride in maintaining exceptional standards of freshness, reliability and customer satisfaction.

Mockingbird Fresh Pty Limited is seeking an experienced and highly organised Office Manager to oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational functions of fresh produce and vertical farming business.

This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth coordination of office operations, supplier and customer communications, records management and internal support functions across a fast-paced agricultural and distribution environment. The successful candidate will work closely with management and operational teams to support efficient business processes, maintain high service standards and contribute to the continued growth and performance of the business.

Minimum Requirements:

  • AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma (ANZSCO Skill Level 2). At least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
  • Minimum one year experience in office management, administration or operations support.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and oversee daily office operations supporting the company’s fresh vegetable supply and vertical farming activities, including correspondence, records management and document control.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to senior management, production, warehouse and distribution teams to ensure efficient business operations.
  • Coordinate schedules, meetings, deliveries, supplier communications and internal operational activities across farming, packing and distribution functions.
  • Manage office systems, administrative procedures and workflow processes to improve operational efficiency and support continuous business improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with budgeting, invoice processing, cost tracking and preparation of operational and administrative reports for management review.
  • Maintain accurate business, inventory, supplier and compliance records in accordance with company policies and industry requirements.
  • Oversee supplier, contractor and service provider documentation, including licences, insurance certificates and compliance records relevant to agricultural and food supply operations.
  • Support human resource administration functions, including onboarding, staff records management, leave coordination and workforce administration support.
  • Liaise with retailers, restaurants, food service providers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication and high levels of customer service.
  • Ensure the office environment remains professional, organised and efficient to support the smooth operation of the company’s farming, packing and distribution activities.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders.

Skills, experience, and attributes:

  • Strong organisational, time management and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to prepare accurate reports and maintain records.
  • Ability to work independently, solve problems and meet deadlines.
  • Previous experience in agriculture, fresh produce, logistics, manufacturing or related industries will be highly regarded.
