Qualified Horticulturist needed at a council nursery:
The council in the eastern suburbs is currently seeking a Qualified Horticulturist to join a busy nursery operation servicing. This is a perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door with a local government organisation.

Your daily job responsibilities will include:
  • Propagating plants through seeds, cuttings, and division.
  • Potting, watering, fertilising, pruning, and general plant maintenance.
  • Monitoring plant health and identifying pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies.
  • Implementing integrated pest and disease management strategies.
  • Maintaining high standards of nursery presentation and cleanliness.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Certificate III in Horticulture.
  • Previous experience working within a commercial nursery or plant production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of plant identification, propagation, and plant health management.
  • Experience with irrigation systems and nursery operations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
