Your new role
As a member of the Technical Facilities Team, you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Facilities Manager in the delivery of day-to-day technical operations. With a strong focus on contractor management, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance, you will ensure all building services are executed effectively and in line with service expectations. This role is proactive in nature, ensuring all reactive and planned works are managed efficiently through structured work order systems, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and operational excellence
Key Duties
- Manage and coordinate all reactive and planned maintenance works through the work order management system
- Ensure timely closure of work orders in line with SLAs and KPIs
- Act as the primary point of contact for contractors on-site, overseeing attendance, performance, and service delivery
- Monitor contractor compliance with site procedures, safety standards, and permit-to-work systems
- Support the Senior Facilities Manager in managing technical service contracts, including performance reviews and reporting
- Coordinate and schedule preventative and corrective maintenance activities
- Conduct site inspections to ensure quality of work, compliance, and asset reliability
- Assist in reviewing and improving maintenance processes and service delivery outcomes
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with SOPs, EOPs, and client requirements
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, asset data, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with workplace, security, and other service teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist with vendor onboarding, inductions, and ongoing performance management
- Support budget tracking through monitoring of maintenance spend and contractor costs
- Contribute to reporting, including maintenance metrics, audits, and operational updates
- Provide on-the-ground support during incidents, outages, or emergency situations
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualification in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Management
- Strong understanding of contractor management, work order systems, and maintenance planning
- Sound knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) requirements and safe work practices
- Experience managing permits to work, risk assessments, and contractor compliance
- Working knowledge of building systems such as HVAC, electrical, fire systems, and BMS
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
- Ability to work collaboratively while supporting senior leadership
