This is an immediate start position
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee & train daily operations of motel accommodation, restaurant, café, bar, event/ conference space, pool and guest amenities
• Ensure smooth check-in/ check–out processes and maintain reservation systems efficiently
• Revenue management and business growth
• Develop, implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all departments to streamline operations and improve consistency across services
• Monitor property upkeep including cleanliness, safety, general maintenance of the equipment, grounds and premises
• Implement security policies/ protocols to protect the premises from loss/ theft/ damage to any money, stock and equipment
• Drive guest feedback collection and resolve complaints in a timely and professional manner
• Manage operational budgets and ensure profitability
• Ensure compliance with liquor licensing and food safety regulations.
• Promote and coordinate use of events/ conference facilities.
• Liaise with clients for planning and delivery of functions.
• Ensure appropriate staffing and service delivery for event/s.
• Manage staff performance, including staff expectations, conducting reviews, and taking corrective action where required.
• Preference will be given to the candidates with training skills of Bar/Barista Staff.
• Lead by example with a hands-on, service-first approach
• Foster a positive and professional workplace culture, ensuring compliance with Fair Work and workplace laws.
• Ensure compliance with NT legislation, including health and safety, liquor licensing, and food safety.
• Maintain occupational health & safety procedures and incident reporting.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics including sales, guest feedback, and cost controls.
• Drive sales and profitability through creative promotions and community engagement and seasonal strategies to grow the customer base
• Build partnerships with local organizations to increase occupancy, event bookings, catering services and brand visibility
• Contribute to social media or local marketing efforts to promote accommodation, events, specials, or featured products
Skills & competencies
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in motel/ hotel/ hospitality industry desirable
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Financial management and budgeting experience.
• Familiarity with hospitality software (PMS, Channel Manager, Revenue Management, POS, accounting).
• Problem- solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Current RSA certification and Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
• Ability to manage diverse team and multitask across service types.
• High standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
