Summary

Our client is seeking to add a highly skilled Marine Fabricator / Welder to support its expanding marine fabrication operations across the Central Coast, Sydney and Newcastle regions. Specialising in premium stainless steel and aluminium fabrication, Exclusive Marine is recognised for delivering industry-leading marine solutions, from custom design through to installation, with a strong reputation for quality workmanship, precision finishes, and reliable service across demanding marine environments.

The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Fabricate custom marine stainless steel and aluminium vessel components and structural assemblies
  • Perform TIG welding to high marine-grade structural and aesthetic standards
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints and fabrication specifications accurately
  • Manufacture marine hardware, railings, ladders, brackets and custom yacht fittings
  • Cut, shape and prepare stainless steel and aluminium fabrication materials
  • Carry out onsite vessel measurements, installations and component fitments
  • Install fuel tanks, water tanks and marine support structures onboard vessels
  • Grind, polish and finish fabricated components to professional marine presentation standards
  • Inspect welds for penetration, alignment, precision and structural integrity
  • Operate workshop machinery, polishing equipment and metal fabrication hand tools safely
  • Coordinate fabrication activities to meet customer specifications and project deadlines
  • Repair and modify existing marine stainless steel vessel equipment and fittings
  • Maintain workplace health and safety compliance in workshop and onsite environments
  • Support apprentice development and provide guidance on fabrication techniques
  • Work across workshop, marina and shipyard environments on marine fabrication projects

Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role:

  • AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3), or a minimum of 3 years of relevant full-time industry experience in marine fabrication, stainless steel fabrication, TIG welding or heavy industrial metal fabrication environments delivering custom projects.
  • Advanced TIG welding capability with proven experience welding stainless steel and aluminium components to marine-grade standards.?Demonstrated ability interpreting technical drawings, fabrication plans and engineering specifications accurately across complex fabrication projects.?Strong understanding of marine-grade stainless steel materials, corrosion resistance requirements and high-quality finishing techniques.?Experience producing custom one-off fabricated components, vessel modifications and specialised stainless steel marine equipment independently.?Experience in fabricating, assembling, welding, repairing and installing stainless steel and metal components, including aligning and joining metal sections using welding techniques and performing on site installation works.
