Japanese Restaurant Cook Mount Isa, QLD 4825 $77,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Japanese Restaurant Cook to join our busy and growing team in Mount Isa, Queensland.

This is a full-time position suited to a passionate hospitality professional with strong experience in Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and hot food preparation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi and hot meals
• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency
• Assist with menu planning and development
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health standards
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Collaborate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff

Requirements

• Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook in a Japanese restaurant environment
• Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques and food preparation
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
