Your new company
A government organisation based in West of Perth CBD, are seeking an experienced Groundskeeper to join the Burials team. This engagement is being offered on an initial temporary contract, working full-time hours Monday to Friday and paying a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
- Prepare sites by digging and excavating soil
- Ensuring the department grounds are clear of litter, debris and obstructions
- Mowing and strimming
- Assisting with weeds, mulching and ensuring garden beds look tidy
- Cleaning and maintaining plant, tools and equipment
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a physical labour role, ideally in a ground’s maintenance capacity
- Knowledge of undertaking safe work practises using correct manual handling
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- An understanding of machinery operations and maintenance
- C class WA driving licence (manual)
What you'll get in return
- $42 per hour + super
- Full-time hours Monday to Friday
