Just Squeezed Fruit Juices Pty Ltd is a HACCP-certified, SGS-audited juice manufacturing company with a strong reputation for supplying high-quality, natural juices to hospitals, schools, aged care facilities, and hospitality clients across Victoria, Western Australia, and South Australia. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced General Accountant to support our growing operations, including our regional unit in Shepparton, which plays a crucial role in sourcing and processing fresh citrus produce from Goulburn Valley growers. This is a critical and ongoing role in setting up our regional financial systems, ensuring ongoing compliance and reporting. As the company’s sole accountant, the successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and overseeing the full scope of accounting operations at our central office in Campbellfield remotely, ensuring financial consistency and accuracy across both locations. This position also plays a strategic role as the business strengthens its regional base and gradually expands into Northern Victoria and New South Wales.

To be considered, candidates must:
• Hold a degree or higher qualification in Accounting. Additional qualifications or knowledge in Business or Commerce will be highly regarded.
• Have at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in an accounting role within the juice or beverage manufacturing sector, or a similar high-compliance food processing industry.
• Demonstrate more than 1 year of advanced-level experience using both MYOB EXO (ERP SYSTEM) and MYOB AccountRight, including setup, reporting, inventory tracking, and cost centre management within the system.
• Show proven ability to work in multi-site operations, particularly regional sites with independent supply chain challenges and cost-centre reporting needs.
• Exhibit strong analytical, reporting, and business systems capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and analyse accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and statements for the Campbellfield and Goulburn Valley operations to support management decision-making.

2. Assist with the preparation and review of annual budgets and rolling financial forecasts, including analysing variances and reporting financial outcomes to senior management.

3. Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections for warehouse expansion and regional operations.

4. Monitor and improve internal controls, cash handling, inventory processes and accounting procedures to maintain accurate financial records and support compliance with applicable accounting and statutory requirements.

5. Monitor cash flow and the company's financial position to ensure adequate liquidity for business commitments and production requirements.

6. Perform cost accounting and inventory valuation, including analysis of stock movements, logistics costs, raw material costs and warehouse performance.

7. Prepare and lodge BAS and manage the company's taxation and statutory reporting requirements, including GST, payroll tax and company tax obligations.

8. Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including depreciation records, and oversee inventory controls across multiple operating locations.

9. Analyse the company's financial performance, operating costs, income, expenditure and cash flow position, and provide financial advice to management to support taxation, purchasing, financing and business planning decisions.

10. Prepare financial analysis and reporting to support management decision-making in relation to regional expansion and other business investment activities.

11. Monitor and improve financial systems and internal accounting controls, particularly in relation to new warehouse and regional operations.

12. Analyse operational and financial performance and recommend cost efficiencies and improvements to accounting and financial processes.

13. Liaise with external auditors, financial institutions, taxation authorities and other regulatory bodies regarding financial reporting, audit, taxation and compliance matters.

14. Oversee daily accounting functions, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and ensure accounts and transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.

15. Prepare monthly and quarterly KPI reports, financial dashboards and operational summaries for the Managing Director. 16 Maintain and review product costing to ensure pricing accurately reflects current raw material, freight, labour and other operating costs.

16. Reconcile multiple bank accounts, investigate discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records across operating locations.

17. Manage and maintain MYOB EXO and MYOB AccountRight, including financial databases, reporting, inventory tracking and cost-centre accounting, to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company's accounting information.
    • The successful candidate will work primarily from Shepparton, supporting the company’s expansion into the Goulburn Valley.
    • This includes hands-on responsibility for grower payments, operational costing, supplier reconciliation, and reporting tailored to the needs of the Shepparton-based unit.
    • The candidate must be flexible and committed to contributing to the company’s broader regional presence and future growth into Northern Victoria and New South Wales.
