Full-Time Production Manager (Manufacturing) Full-Time (38 ordinary hours per week) SALARY $100,000–$110,000 per annum + superannuation

SUMMARY Reporting to senior management, the Production Manager will have overall responsibility for planning and controlling the company’s component recovery, reconditioning, assembly, testing and quality-control processes. The position will manage production personnel, equipment, workflow, output targets, quality standards, inventory coordination and production records across the operation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate automotive component recovery, reconditioning, assembly, testing and quality-control activities.
• Develop production plans and schedules based on component availability, customer demand, production capacity, labour resources and delivery priorities.
• Establish and manage structured workflows covering component identification, dismantling, inspection, cleaning, repair, reconditioning, assembly, functional testing and final quality release.
• Determine production priorities, output targets, labour requirements, equipment utilisation and material requirements.
• Allocate work and coordinate production employees, technicians and supporting personnel to achieve production and delivery targets.
• Monitor daily production progress, workflow efficiency, turnaround times, work-in-progress levels and finished component output.
• Establish and maintain production methods, technical procedures, inspection requirements and quality-control standards.
• Ensure reconditioned and assembled components meet applicable technical specifications, safety requirements and internal quality standards before release.
• Investigate production delays, component failures, quality defects and workflow constraints, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
• Monitor the utilisation, maintenance and availability of production equipment, tools, testing devices and workshop facilities.
• Coordinate the availability and movement of recovered components, replacement materials and finished products.
• Develop and monitor production budgets, operating costs, labour expenditure, productivity levels and resource utilisation.
• Analyse production data and implement improvements to workflow, capacity, efficiency, quality and waste reduction.
• Maintain accurate production schedules, job records, inspection results, testing records, defect reports and productivity reports.
• Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate production personnel and promote clear accountability for output and quality.
• Ensure production activities comply with work health and safety, environmental and operational requirements.
• Prepare regular production, quality, capacity and performance reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with suppliers, customers and relevant internal teams to support an efficient component production operation.

REQUIRED SKILLS
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, production management, engineering, operations management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least three (3) years of relevant production or manufacturing management experience.
• Demonstrated experience managing structured component production, reconditioning, remanufacturing, assembly or comparable manufacturing processes.
• Experience in production planning, labour allocation, workflow control, capacity planning and quality assurance.
• Sound knowledge of production equipment, workshop processes, technical inspections and operational safety requirements.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills, including experience supervising technical and production employees.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse production data, control operating costs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, reporting and stakeholder-management skills.
• Automotive component, mechanical production or parts-reconditioning experience will be highly regarded.
