Cooks – Indian Restaurant Permanent and Full-Time

Indian Rasoi Albury (DIVYAJYOTI 2 PTY LTD) is a busy restaurant located in Albury, New South Wales 2640. The business is seeking full-time Cooks with experience in preparing both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes from North Indian, South Indian and Mughlai cuisines.

The successful applicant will be experienced in:

• preparing and cooking dishes using a variety of techniques and methods
• seasoning, garnishing and plating dishes
• competent and safe use of all kitchen equipment and tools
• strong understanding of food hygiene, health, and safety requirements
• estimating, ordering, and receiving stock and supplies
• freezing and preserving foods to reduce wastage

Requirements:

• A relevant Certificate III or higher qualification or another acceptable trade qualification, or at least 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of formal qualifications
• A minimum of 1 years of relevant full-time work experience
• Strong knowledge of Indian groceries, spices, and traditional preparations

Remuneration and Conditions:

An annual remuneration between $71,500 and $75,000 plus superannuation will be offered to the right candidate, depending on skills and experience. Employment conditions will be provided in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award (MA000119).
