Cooks

Macthom Pty Ltd operates The River Hotel and Margaret River Resort, a well-established hospitality venue at 40 Wallcliffe Rd, Margaret River, Western Australia. The property features a front bar, casual restaurant, courtyard, beer garden and function space.

We are seeking an experienced Cooks to join our kitchen team on a full-time, permanent basis, preparing and cooking food across daily restaurant service at The River Hotel.

Employer: Macthom Pty Ltd Location: Margaret River, WA 6285 Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Annual Remuneration: AUD $79,500 to $84,000 per annum + superannuation

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete Prep and ensure quality of ingredients prior to preparation
• Preparing, seasoning and cooking menu items to a consistent standard
• Portioning, plating and garnishing
• Adjusting meals to dietary needs
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment and tag report faults
• Minimize wastage
• Order, receive and label supplies
• Support and train kitchen staff

Requirements

• Able to cook variety of Australian and western dishes
• At least 1 year of full-time relevant experience or the equivalent of 2 years of part-time relevant experience.
• Certificate III including at least 2 years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV, or at least 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a qualification
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food storage practices
• Knife skills
• Ability to support and train kitchen staff
• Ability to work weekends and public holidays
