Position: Formwork Carpenter – Multiple positions available Location: South Australia – Adelaide and regional sites Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 per annum + superannuation (depending on experience)

Business overview Folton Pty Ltd is a South Australian civil construction company based in Adelaide. We deliver civil construction and earthmoving projects across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia, with regular work in the renewable energy sector as well as general civil infrastructure.

The role We are seeking experienced and motivated Formwork Carpenters to join our growing construction team in South Australia. This is a full-time, ongoing opportunity for individuals who are committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining a strong focus on workplace safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
• Assemble, erect, align and brace temporary wooden, metal, or prefabricated formwork systems for concrete foundations, walls, slabs, beams, columns, wing walls, staircases and other structures according to blueprints and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, sketches and specifications to determine dimensions and layout, including setting up and using grade lasers for accurate levelling and alignment of formwork.
• Measure, mark, cut and shape timber, plywood or metal components to precise dimensions using hand tools and power tools.
• Dig, level and prepare ground or trenches for footings and foundations.
• Install ties, hardware, stakes and supports to ensure forms are secure, level and able to withstand concrete pressure.
• Strip (dismantle) forms after concrete cures, clean, repair and maintain formwork for reuse.
• Work safely and efficiently as part of a team on various construction sites across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Requirements for the candidate
• Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Formwork Carpenter within the construction industry.
• Certificate III in Carpentry or an equivalent qualification, or at least three (3) years of relevant full-time work experience in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction drawings, engineering plans and technical specifications.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, laser levels and other construction equipment.
• Sound knowledge of traditional timber, modular and metal formwork systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable work ethic with the flexibility to work across metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia as required.
