The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Enrolled Nurse to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality healthcare services.

In this role, you will work collaboratively with consumers, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams to provide safe, person-centered, and trauma-informed care. You will play an important role in supporting positive health outcomes by delivering compassionate nursing care that respects the individual needs, preferences, and experiences of each person. What you will bring to the role

Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA.

Demonstrated experience and clinical skill in nursing as an Enrolled Nurse including completion of a new graduate Enrolled Nurse program or equivalent experience working as an Enrolled Nurse in mental health.

Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, trauma-informed, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services.

Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work.

Demonstrated effective communication, including non-verbal, written and verbal skills.

Demonstrated commitment to own professional development through workplace learning and reflective practice and the ability to contribute to the development of others, including new graduate nurses and students.

Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.

Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week according to the unit or team requirements.

Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa
