Job description

Your new company

Our client is a leading Australian resources organisation with a strong commitment to operational excellence, safety, and sustainable project delivery. With a substantial portfolio of capital projects and ongoing investment in site infrastructure, they offer the opportunity to work on complex projects within a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Your new role

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing electrical capital projects through the full project life cycle, from early studies and detailed design through to construction, commissioning, and handover. You will work closely with consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing electrical projects from concept development through to completion
  • Coordinating consultants during feasibility studies, engineering, and detailed design phases
  • Managing project budgets, schedules, risks, and reporting requirements
  • Overseeing contractors and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations
  • Leading project execution, construction activities, and commissioning works
  • Reviewing and managing project documentation, technical deliverables, and governance requirements
  • Collaborating with operations, maintenance, engineering, and external stakeholders
  • Ensuring all work is delivered in line with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Driving project performance and continuous improvement outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

  • Demonstrated experience managing electrical projects within mining, resources, heavy industry, energy, or infrastructure environments
  • Proven experience managing consultants through study, design, and project delivery phases
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methodologies and project governance requirements
  • Experience managing contractors during construction and commissioning activities
  • Sound knowledge of contract administration and contractor management
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple project priorities in a dynamic operational environment
  • Electrical trade or engineering qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards

What you'll get in return

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded mining operation and contribute to the successful delivery of critical electrical infrastructure projects. You'll work on a Monday-to-Thursday site roster with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays, while camp accommodation is provided throughout your assignment. Both FIFO and DIDO options are available, offering flexibility for candidates across Queensland. You'll join a supportive team environment where your expertise will directly influence the success of key site projects and future growth initiatives.
