About the role This role provides intake, assessment, evidence-based interventions and case management to individuals experiencing substance use issues, in line with NSW Health guidelines. It also delivers counselling and therapeutic support, facilitates withdrawal and opioid treatment programs, and works collaboratively with other health and community professionals to support continuity of care.
Your Responsibilities will include:
Deliver clinical care aligned with the NSW Clinical Care Standards for Alcohol & Other Drugs Treatment. Provide evidence-based interventions, counselling and case management to support individuals experiencing substance use issues. Support clients through withdrawal management and facilitate access to opioid dependence treatment in line with NSW Health guidelines. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external services to coordinate care and ensure continuity across settings. Advocate for clients and link them with appropriate health, community, and support services, including family and carer support. Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.

Criteria: Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
NSW Working with Children Check Relevant tertiary qualification with registration or professional peak body eligibility (AASW / AHPRA/PACFA). Recent experience in drug and alcohol clinical services is desired (but not essential) Excellent communication and personal skills
