First Friends (WA) Pty Ltd is a long daycare centre based in Mindarie in Perth's northern suburbs. We are now seeking a dedicated, experienced Room Leader to join our team. Please see below for a more detailed job description.

POSITION Room leader SUPERVISOR Director/nominated supervisor DIRECT REPORTS Educators (as assigned) Students/volunteers (as assigned) QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Early Childhood Education from a recognised University (as listed on the approved qualification list by ACECQA), or: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
• Current approved First Aid qualification
• Current ACECQA approved anaphylaxis and emergency asthma management training
• Current approved CPR training
• National Child Safety Training
• Approved Child Protection Training ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
• Previous experience in a leadership role
• Demonstrated knowledge of: o Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) V2.0 and/or My Time Our Place Framework (MTOP) V2.0 o Education and Care Services National Law o Education and Care Services National Regulations o Family Assistance Law (Child Care Subsidy 2018)
o Child Protection legislation POSITION OBJECTIVES
• Be responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of the assigned room, including providing leadership and support to educators and staff within the team in line with relevant regulations, policies and procedures
• In collaboration with the educational leader, assist with the development, implementation and reflection of the educational program to provide a high-quality program for all children and families
• Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, educators, staff and management to deliver best outcomes for families and children
• In the absence of the director/nominated supervisor, undertake responsibilities as per the Responsible Person Policy and procedure for the day-to-day management of the Service CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
• Valid Working with Children Check
• Remain a fit and proper person to work with children, meeting all suitability, screening, and compliance requirements under relevant legislation
• Be willing to accept the role of responsible person and meet ongoing requirements of the responsible person under the Education and Care Services National Law and Education and Care Services National Regulations
• RESPONSIBLE PERSON CONDITIONS o Be 18 years or older o Have adequate knowledge and understanding of the provision of education and care to children o effectively supervise and manage an education and care service o Consent to the role of the responsible person o Agree and be willing to be placed in day-to-day charge of the education and care service MAINTAIN UP TO DATE KNOWLEDGE AND COMPLIANCE OF THE FOLLOWING:
