Permanent Diesel Fitter & Serviceperson roles offering great roster and BIBO from Townsville. Join our team as a Heavy Diesel Fitter or Serviceperson in North Queensland! Your new company Our client is a well established mining contractor currently seeking experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters and Servicepersons to join their mobile maintenance team at a North Queensland mine site. These are permanent full time opportunities offering attractive lifestyle rosters with Bus In Bus Out from Townsville. Your new role Depending on your experience and trade background, you will join the site's mobile maintenance team supporting the servicing, maintenance and reliability of heavy mobile mining equipment. You will work an 8/6 or 7/7 roster across days and nights, with BIBO transport from Townsville. Heavy Diesel Fitter responsibilities will include:

Diagnostics and fault finding on heavy mobile mining equipment Breakdown repairs and troubleshooting Scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance Repairs and maintenance across mobile plant Supporting equipment reliability and availability Completing maintenance in line with site and manufacturer requirements Working closely with maintenance and production teams

Serviceperson responsibilities will include:   

Refuelling and servicing heavy mobile mining equipment Refilling fuel, oil, water and other fluids Operating and restocking service trucks Carrying out routine servicing and inspections Assisting the maintenance team with mobile plant servicing General maintenance and site duties as required

What you'll need to succeed   For Heavy Diesel Fitters:   

Australian recognised Heavy Diesel / Mobile Plant trade qualification Previous heavy mobile equipment experience Mining or heavy industry experience highly regarded Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills Current Driver Licence Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

For Servicepersons:   

Previous Serviceperson / Sailor experience Mine site or heavy mobile equipment experience highly regarded Current HR Driver Licence Experience operating service trucks Strong mechanical aptitude Strong commitment to safe work practices

For both positions, you will need to:   

Be available to work rotating days and nights Meet required medical and site compliance requirements Work effectively as part of a site-based maintenance team
