This scheme recognises the role key health workers play in enabling the delivery of rural and remote health services, and aims to provide incentives over and above award entitlements, to attract and retain staff in these areas.

What you'll be doing

Support and assist Dental clinicals in the provision of oral health services to patients.

Undertake administrative and reception duties - filing, maintain electronic patient data base, appointment scheduling, wait list management, maintenance of stock and ordering.

Assist in the delivery of oral health promotion activities.

How to Apply To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible:

Certificate III in Dental Assisting or relevant work experience and working towards obtaining formal qualification. Dental Assisting Certificate IV required for appointment at Grade 2.

Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to relate well to adults, children and other health professionals.

Demonstrated ability to perform effective infection control, instrument reprocessing and dental assisting.

Demonstrated ability to plan own work, manage priorities, use initiative and to problem solve.

Effective computer skills for communication and proficient in the use of Word and Excel.

Class C drivers licence with the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes.
