Hays is partnering with a highly regarded government organisation seeking an experienced Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS) Consultant / Information Officer to support the ongoing management, enhancement, and optimisation of its information management systems and records governance practices.
This is an excellent opportunity for an information management professional with strong EDRMS experience, records management expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills to contribute to a large-scale government environment while supporting continuous business improvement initiatives.
Your new role
As the EDRMS Consultant, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the organisation's electronic records and document management capabilities. Working closely with business stakeholders, subject-matter experts, technical teams, and software providers, you will ensure best practice information governance and system performance across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing first-level support and triage for information management and EDRMS-related issues.
- Working with software vendors and technical teams to resolve system issues and support upgrades and enhancements.
- Delivering training and user support on information management principles, records management practices, and EDRMS functionality.
- Developing procedures, user guides, training materials, and supporting documentation.
- Undertaking projects to improve EDRMS utilisation, workflows, and associated information management processes.
- Conducting audits, reporting activities, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure information management requirements align with business objectives.
- Supporting compliance with organisational policies, governance frameworks, and Australian Government information management standards.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in business process analysis and systems analysis.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve issues associated with enterprise information systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience delivering training programmes, workplace learning initiatives, and developing training materials.
- Technical knowledge of Australian Government records management practices and information governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience administering or supporting an Electronic Document Management System (EDRMS).
- Strong Microsoft technology skills, including Windows, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft 365.
Highly Regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Management, Records Management, Library Studies, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Eligibility for membership of a recognised Information Management professional body.
- Experience working with SharePoint Online, SharePoint, and/or AvePoint solutions.
