Your new role
As a Research & Analytics Analyst, you will support the product, advisory, and market research function to deliver insights that inform product development and pricing strategy. You will contribute to research across a range of insurance portfolios (including on-sale, off-sale, legacy, and group products) and provide both qualitative and quantitative analysis on competitors, market dynamics, and portfolio performance.
You will leverage tools such as SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI to analyse data, develop reports and dashboards, and present insights to key stakeholders. The role will also involve monitoring competitor activity, assessing the impact of product changes, supporting tender submissions, and preparing presentations that showcase competitive positioning in the market.


What you'll need to succeed
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience within the insurance industry
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a research or data analytics role
  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Actuarial Studies, or a related discipline
  • Strong technical skills in SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful, actionable insights
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
