Chef – Souths Leagues Club Mackay Salary AUD 75,000- 80000 About the role

We’re on the hunt for Qualified Chef who are as comfortable behind the pass as they are plating up bistro classics with a modern twist.

You’ll be a key part of our kitchen team, delivering delicious meals to members and guests across our bistro, events, and functions. Your day might include:

Prepping and plating a variety of fresh, quality dishes Contributing ideas to menus and daily specials Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards Working closely with a supportive and down-to-earth team Taking on some responsibility around stock control- ordering, rotation, inventory & minimizing waste Managing deliveries Maintain a clean, organized & efficient environment Liaise with FOH staff to ensure smooth service Foster a positive and productive kitchen culture

What are we looking for? A trade qualification in commercial cookery Experience in a bistro or club-style kitchen (bonus points for high-volume service) A positive attitude and strong work ethic A love for teamwork and a dash of humour under pressure Available to work split shifts, weekends & public holidays
