Position: Full Time – Permanent Location: 11/593 Withers Road Rouse Hill NSW 2155 Salary: $80,000 Plus 12% Superannuation

Located in Rouse Hill, NSW, Dream Homes Custom Build specializes in high-quality residential construction, custom home design, and project management services primarily focused on Sydney’s Northwest and Southwest regions. The client is currently recruiting an experienced Carpenter with a solid background in residential projects. As a highly motivated and qualified Carpenter, strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry combined with a high level of attention to detail is required. This role plays a vital part in the construction of custom homes, where attention to detail and quality craftsmanship is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute quality carpentry workmanship to the highest level while maintaining company standards and safety
• Read plans and specifications to determine dimensions, materials required, and installation processes to be followed
• Contribute to the construction of unique and high-quality custom doors
• Interpret plans, engineering, and project specifications to meet exacting standards
• Construct and repair structural woodwork and equipment from blueprints and oral instructions
• Maintain tools and machinery in safe and efficient operating condition
• Prepare drawings and sketches of construction and repair projects
• Estimate costs and order materials needed
• Cut materials, assemble, and nail cut and shaped parts
• Nail fascia panels, sheath roofs, and fit exterior wall cladding, door, and window frames
• Assemble prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
• Cut wood joints
• Repair door/window locks, frames, and broken glass
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations
• Liaise with clients and other trades in a professional manner

Skills & Qualifications:

• AQF Certificate III in relevant trade including 2 years on job training or AQF Certificate IV. The position requires at least one year of full -time experience and the ability to work independently to specifications and plans.
• Proven experience as a Carpenter in residential projects
• Strong technical knowledge of the building and construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and blueprints
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations

The Successful Applicant

You would be required to work in a team environment and would be expected to take on a variety of tasks. You would be required to work at times under pressure and timelines and be available to work in different areas if and when the need arises. The applicant must have an OHS white card and previous experience, preferably in the construction industry.
