Our client, Khosa Concrete & Landscaping Pty Ltd, located in Huntingdale, Western Australia, is a growing construction business specialising in high-quality concreting, landscaping and outdoor construction solutions throughout the Perth metropolitan area. The company delivers a broad range of residential and commercial projects, including concrete driveways, pathways, patios, retaining walls, paving, fencing, timber structures, artificial turf installations and complete landscape transformations.

Due to continued business growth and an increasing volume of construction projects, our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Carpenter to join its skilled construction team. The successful applicant will undertake a variety of carpentry works associated with building interiors, outdoor living spaces and structural construction, while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions and installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and install timber, plywood and other building materials to required specifications.
• Construct, install and repair timber frameworks, wall frames, floor systems, roof structures, partitions and ceilings.
• Install doors, windows, skirting boards, architraves, staircases, cabinetry and other interior and exterior timber fittings.
• Build and install pergolas, decking, fencing, gates and other outdoor timber structures.
• Carry out first-fix and second-fix carpentry works for residential and commercial building projects.
• Undertake formwork construction where required to support building and landscaping projects.
• Repair and maintain existing timber structures, fixtures and fittings to ensure structural integrity and appearance.
• Operate, maintain and inspect carpentry tools, machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Estimate material requirements and assist in ordering timber and construction materials.
• Ensure all carpentry works comply with Australian building codes, project specifications and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Liaise professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Skills & Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent trade qualification), including at least two years of structured on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant trade.
• Minimum one year of relevant full-time experience as a Carpenter.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building materials and safe work practices.
• High attention to detail with excellent workmanship and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Sound understanding of Australian Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
