Your new role

Our Hays Sydney CBD office is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This is a full time permanent role. In this role, you will be support the broader business by providing meaningful and actionable data to inform the decision making process.

Responsibilities

  • Partner and consult with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the business to gatherrequirements, design, build, and deploy solutions

  • Be familiar with the reporting ability and data availability of a wide range of systems and products –both internal and external, and how they can be combined to give a wholistic business picture

  • Create dashboards and reporting in a range of tools (primarily PowerBI and Excel) that allow the business to get true insights, trends, and analysis of a range of metrics and areas

  • Support and proactively approach and engage with a range of business functions including sales, operations, marketing, finance and leadership teams

  • Assist with the design and deployment of solutions for contractual requirements of external clients in conjunction with account directors

  • Respond to ad-hoc request for reporting, insights, and analysis in a timely and accurate manner

  • Responsible for proactively creating BI that arms decisions makers for the future and identify areas for improvement - including gap, KPI and trend analysis

What you'll need to succeed

  • Advanced Excel knowledge (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, advanced formulas, DAX)

  • PowerPivot and PowerQuery

  • Demonstrated knowledge in PowerBI

  • Initiative to take on and lead projects and tasks as required

  • Keen and eager interest in learning

  • Highly analytical and critical thinking orientated mindset

  • Demonstrable background in objectively improving processes and eagerness to drive optimisation

  • Highly advanced problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage time and priorities
