Next Gen Talent Business: Harper Street Bakery & Café, Harvey WA Position: Barista Address: 2 Harper St, Harvey WA 6220 Salary :- AUD 71,500 to AUD 74,000 plus Super

Minimum Requirements: AQF Certificate IV with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role

Roles and Responsibilities Prepare and serve high-quality espresso coffee, tea, hot chocolate and other specialty beverages using commercial coffee equipment. Operate, clean and maintain espresso machines, grinders and other coffee equipment to ensure consistent beverage quality. Provide friendly and professional customer service, take orders and process payments through the POS system. Recommend beverages to complement Harper Street Bakery & Café's range of artisan breads, pies, sausage rolls, sandwiches, cakes, slices, biscuits and pastries. Assist in displaying and replenishing freshly baked products, ensuring attractive presentation and product freshness. Monitor coffee beans, milk and beverage supplies, reporting stock shortages when required. Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic coffee preparation area in accordance with food safety standards. Coordinate with the bakery and kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and service of food and beverages. Follow workplace health and safety procedures while handling food, beverages and café equipment. Assist with opening and closing duties, including equipment setup, cleaning and basic stock checks.

Skills and Competencies Skilled in preparing espresso-based coffee and steaming milk using commercial coffee machines. Strong customer service and communication skills. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe workplace practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery and café environment. Experience using POS systems and handling customer transactions. Strong teamwork, organisation and attention to detail.
