Seeking APS5 Fleet Officer for a 6-month Labour Hire Contract with the Federal Government Agency Your new company
This Federal Government organisation supports nationally significant legal and administrative functions, contributing to the delivery of justice across Australia. Operating within a complex and highly regulated environment, the organisation provides critical corporate services to multiple jurisdictions and stakeholders. Within their Corporate Services, Property & Procurement Group they are seeking an APS5 Fleet Officer to join the team initially on 6 month Labour Hire Contract. Your new role
As a Fleet Officer, you will support the Fleet Manager in delivering day-to-day fleet management and procurement services across a national portfolio. You will coordinate fleet operations, maintain records, and ensure compliance with procurement frameworks and internal policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing vehicle lifecycle processes including ordering, leasing, servicing, maintenance, and end-of-lease activities Coordinating fleet records, contracts, and documentation Managing vehicle incidents, infringements, and insurance claims (Comcover) Supporting procurement activities in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules Liaising with internal stakeholders and external providers such as leasing companies and insurers Preparing fleet reports and maintaining accurate data Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across fleet and procurement functions

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

Experience in fleet management, including vehicle leasing, operations, and insurance claims Exposure to procurement processes within a government or corporate environment Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills Experience maintaining records, systems, and contract documentation Proficiency with fleet management systems and Microsoft Office Desirable: Certificate IV in Government (Procurement and Contracting) or Fleet Management
