Randstad is partnering with a prominent Queensland Public Sector organisation to recruit a permanent Finance Business Partner based on the Gold Coast. Operating in a dynamic, team-based environment, you will provide strategic financial analysis, budgeting, and performance management advice to key operational leadership to drive decision-making and fiscal performance.
This role is classified at the AO5 level and offers a competitive salary range of $108,998 - $118,247 per annum + 12.75% superannuation.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

Conduct complex financial research and variance analysis using enterprise systems and Excel to identify key performance drivers.
Perform proactive cost-driver and service/program profitability analysis across operational business units to drive efficiencies.
Provide expert advice to operational managers on internal budgeting, forecasting, employee expenditure, and financial implications of decisions.
Build strong business partnering relationships, translating complex financial insights for non-finance stakeholders.
Deliver timely management reporting, month-end processes, general ledger reconciliations, and ad-hoc executive insights.
Support continuous process improvements and build financial capability across regional business units.

Key Skills:

Proven background within a financial analysis, accounting, or business partnering capacity.
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA/CPA qualifications or progress towards viewed favourably).
Demonstrated experience across end-to-end financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, and month-end close.
Strong technical capability with advanced Microsoft Excel and major Enterprise ERP financial systems.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
High-level attention to detail and the ability to manage competing regional priorities.
