AO3 Business Support Officer required to provide high-quality administrative support within State Government. Your new company Hays Recruitment Townsville is seeking an experienced Business Support Officer on behalf of a busy State Government team for a full-time temporary contract. This is a fast-paced role that is best suited to someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service, coordinating travel arrangements, and supporting operational teams through high-quality administrative support. Your new role
Provide efficient and professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate travel bookings, including flights, accommodation, charters, ferries, and vehicle hire. Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone enquiries within required timeframes. Maintain accurate records and update information systems, including Ellipse and Microsoft Office applications. Prepare documents, reports, procedures, manuals, and registers to a high standard. Support senior staff by handling enquiries and administrative tasks in their absence. Contribute positively to a team-focused culture while meeting performance targets and KPIs. Undertake general administrative duties and identify opportunities for process improvement.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Strong customer service and communication skills. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. High attention to detail and accuracy. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment. Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite. A proactive, team-oriented approach and a commitment to delivering positive customer outcomes. Current Driving Licence
What you'll get in return
Competitive pay rate of $51.12 per hour plus superannuation. Full-time hours, Monday to Friday. Opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative government environment.
