Yard Supervisor Roebuck Bay Hotel – Broome, WA Salary: $72,000 per annum plus superannuation Employment Type: Full Time (Minimum 38 hours per week) The Roebuck Bay Hotel is one of Broome's leading hospitality venues, incorporating accommodation, restaurants, bars, bottle shop, entertainment facilities and extensive landscaped grounds. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Yard Supervisor to join our Property and Assets team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this is a hands-on role responsible for supervising the daily activities of the Yard Team while maintaining the hotel's buildings, grounds, facilities and associated assets to ensure they remain safe, functional and presented to a high standard. Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the Yard Team.
• Undertake preventative and reactive maintenance of hotel buildings, facilities and associated assets.
• Perform general handyperson duties including minor building repairs, maintenance of fixtures, fittings, furniture, doors, windows, fencing and gates.
• Maintain hotel grounds and external areas including lawns, gardens, pathways, car parks and landscaped areas.
• Undertake routine swimming pool maintenance, including cleaning, water quality testing and chemical treatment.
• Operate and maintain maintenance equipment, power tools, utility vehicles and forklifts in accordance with safe work practices.
• Assist with venue set-up and pack-down for functions and special events.
• Complete maintenance records, inspections and report maintenance requirements to the Maintenance Manager.
• Promote safe work practices and contribute to a positive workplace culture. About You To be successful in this role you will have:
• A minimum of one (1) year of full-time relevant experience in property maintenance, facilities maintenance, building maintenance or a similar handyperson role.
• Experience undertaking general building repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise, coordinate or lead the daily activities of a small team.
• Experience operating maintenance equipment and power tools safely.
• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to prioritise workloads.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of workmanship, presentation and workplace safety. Essential Requirements
• Current unrestricted C Class Driver's Licence.
• Current Forklift Licence desirable.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual work, including lifting, climbing ladders, operating equipment and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required. What We Offer
