Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier within Australia's infrastructure and construction sector. With a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork, they are seeking an experienced Yard Hand/Forklift Operator to join their Townsville operation.

Your new role

This is a hands-on position combining warehouse duties and outdoor yard operations. Working Monday to Friday, you'll be responsible for the safe movement, storage, and dispatch of products while ensuring the yard and warehouse remain organised and efficient.
A significant part of this role involves operating a forklift to move long-length materials, including pipe products, making strong forklift experience essential.

Key responsibilities

• Operating forklifts to load, unload, and move long-length pipe and associated products
• Receiving and dispatching stock
• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Maintaining a safe and organised warehouse and yard
• Assisting with inventory and stock control activities
• Manual handling and general labouring duties
• Following workplace safety procedures at all times
• Working across both undercover warehouse and outdoor yard environments

What you'll need to succeed

• Current Forklift Licence (LF) essential
• Extensive forklift operating experience, particularly with long and bulky loads
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or yard environment
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to undertake manual handling tasks
• Reliable work ethic and strong attendance record
• Ability to work effectively within a team
