Who we are Based in the City of Tea Tree Gully, Waterworld Aquatic Centre stands as a premier outdoor destination. We offer three heated pools-a 50m lap pool, a 20m Learner pool, and a Toddler pool-alongside expansive grassy areas, thrilling water slides, and captivating splash park attractions.
The role Randstad is currently seeking entry-level and experienced lifeguards for the upcoming pool season from October 2026 - April 2027 at Waterworld. With three pools and three waterslides, Waterworld welcomes patrons of all ages and abilities through a range of aquatic programs, events and activities. As a Lifeguard, you'll help create a safe, enjoyable environment for visitors while delivering excellent customer service and promoting water safety.
As a Lifeguard, you'll play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for all patrons. You'll help ensure visitor safety, promote positive aquatic experiences, and make a meaningful contribution to the community. This opportunity is open to individuals aged 16 years and above who can obtain their pool lifeguard qualifications. The role includes:

Supervise pool and surrounding areas to ensure patron safety.
Educate the public on the Watch Around Water Policy.
Maintain a safe environment for all aquatic facility patrons.
Respond promptly to emergencies as they arise.
Report significant incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Identify and report risks within Council premises.
Maintain cleanliness of facility and aquatic areas.
Availability on weekends is essential.

Qualifications
Lifeguards must possess or be willing to obtain the following certificates:

Pool Lifeguard Certificate
Provide CPR Certificate
Provide First Aid Certificate
Working with Children Check
Child Safe Environments Certificate
