Your new role

As the Value Stream Optimisation Lead, you will be responsible for assessing end-to-end business processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing future-state operating models that deliver measurable business value. Working across multiple business functions, you will lead value stream assessments, facilitate stakeholder workshops, and develop transformation roadmaps aligned to strategic objectives.
A key focus of the role will be identifying opportunities to leverage AI, automation, workflow optimisation, and advanced analytics to improve operational efficiency and customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting value stream mapping and process assessments across key business functions.

• Identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, rework, and operational risks.

• Designing future-state processes and transformation roadmaps.

• Evaluating opportunities for Generative AI, intelligent automation, and process optimisation.

• Developing business cases, ROI models, and benefits realisation frameworks.

• Analysing operational data to identify improvement opportunities and measure outcomes.

• Building executive-level recommendations and presenting findings to senior stakeholders.

• Partnering with risk, compliance, technology, and business teams to ensure successful delivery of improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• 8+ years' experience in Process Excellence, Operational Improvement, Continuous Improvement, or Business Transformation roles.

• Strong experience within Superannuation, Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Insurance environments.

• Demonstrated success delivering measurable operational and business improvements.

• Extensive value stream mapping and process optimisation experience.

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification (mandatory).

• Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.

• Experience developing business cases, benefits realisation frameworks, and performance reporting.

• Exposure to AI, automation, digital transformation, or emerging technologies.

• A proactive and innovative mindset with a passion for driving continuous improvement and challenging the status quo.
