Hays is partnering with a range of respected commercial construction contractors across Tasmania, delivering projects throughout Hobart, Launceston and surrounding regions. With a strong pipeline of current and upcoming work, we are seeking experienced Carpenters, Formworkers, Steel Fixers, Skilled Labourers and other commercial construction professionals to join projects across the state. Whether your background is in commercial builds, fit-outs, refurbishments, concrete construction, civil projects or general site support, we want to hear from motivated tradespeople looking for their next opportunity. Your new role
You will be working on a variety of commercial construction projects, ranging from new builds and refurbishments to fit-outs and civil construction works. Duties may include:

Commercial carpentry, fit-out and refurbishment works Formwork installation and stripping Steel fixing and reinforcement placement Concrete pouring, finishing and repair work Reading and interpreting plans and specifications General site duties and skilled labouring tasks Assisting site teams to meet project deadlines Maintaining high safety and quality standards on site

What you'll need to succeed

Proven experience within commercial construction Relevant trade qualification or demonstrated industry experience Current White Card Driver's licence and reliable transport Own tools (where applicable) Strong work ethic and reliable attitude Ability to pass a police check and drug & alcohol testing Commitment to workplace health and safety Ability to work effectively within a team environment
