Job description

Seeking Trade Assistant for fabrication, assembly, wedling and general manufacturing duties. Candidates must be able to: Frequently lift 10-15kg from waist height to shoulder height.

Frequently lift 10-15kg from waist height to shoulder height. Lift and move items weighing 15-20kg. Perform repetitive bending, squatting, and manual handling tasks. Apply moderate to high force when using hand tools such as torque wrenches. Demonstrate good physical stamina, strength, flexibility, and dexterity.

Key Duties

Fabricate and assemble components to production schedules. Drill, countersink, buff, and grind metal plates and components. Perform spray painting and preparation of parts for painting. Carry out welding and jig preparation. Complete quality inspections and maintain production records. Identify and report defects or quality issues. Monitor stock levels of production consumables and notify supervisors when replenishment is required. Follow work instructions, drawings, quality procedures, and WHS requirements. Assist warehouse operations when required. Participate in special projects and work overtime as needed. Ensure equipment, materials, and forklifts are stored safely at the end of each day.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, welding, or production environments. Comfortable with physically demanding work. Strong focus on safety and quality. Able to follow technical drawings and work instructions. Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to assist across multiple operational areas.
