LOCATION: In-person, near Holsworthy, Sydney DATE: 8 January 2027 to 30 April 2027 REMUNERATION: from $55 per hour + 12% superannuation BREAK: 03 – 18 Apr 27 (not required to work)

ROLES: We are seeking Tok Pisin speakers with language teaching experience to deliver a Tok Pisin language course for adult learners. Available positions include:
• Full-time Instructor: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with a one-hour meal break (approximately 34 teaching hours per week).
• Part-time Support Instructor: Approximately 14 hours per week

DUTIES:
• Deliver a Tok Pisin language course using existing course materials.
• Review and enhance existing course materials.
• Develop supplementary learning materials and homework tasks.
• Adapt lesson plans, conduct assessments, and undertake other administrative duties.

Essential Criteria

1. Have excellent communication skills in Tok Pisin language
2. Be fluent in spoken and written English
3. Preferably hold a tertiary qualification in Education, Linguistics, Translation or Tok Pisin language
4. Have at least two years of experience teaching/ tutoring/ developing courses for adults in English or Tok Pisin language (in Australia or overseas)
5. Knowledge of different approaches to teaching
6. Knowledge of computer and IT knowledge in delivery and development of materials
7. Possess sound knowledge of the history, culture, and society of PNG (that will assist your language teaching or course development)
8. Be able to follow course guidelines and demonstrate a friendly, confident, and professional
9. Be available for full duration of the course
