Job description

We require up to 100 hardworking nimble-fingered, physically able and reliable workers to work in the upcoming strawberry/raspberry season. MUST be available to work from early to mid-August 2026 to beginning of July 2027 and be committed to a minimum of 5-6 days per week, 8-10 hours per session for duration of the season (approximately 8-9 months). Varying early starts may apply (between 5am - 7am) depending on crops/product readiness and management requirements. You will need to be available for possible extra hours of work to ensure all crops are harvested/sorted/packed as required by management. You must be willing to undertake all jobs listed below and be able to work in the Manjimup and surrounding WA area. Manual bending, crouching to pick/pack strawberries/raspberries is required. Manual picking of strawberries/raspberries according to size and ripeness is also required. We are looking for nimble fingers, sharp sighted (no colour-blindness) and physically fit applicants who can produce the quality and quantity needed. Potential long hours in all weather conditions. Strawberries/Raspberries are weighed and paid by the units (e.g. kilos, trays, punnets) On the job training will be provided for all pickers and packers. Pickers and Packers must be able to work in a very fast paced environment with speed and accuracy. Modern Horticultural Award 2020 Level 1 Piece Rate system is on offer for all pickers and Modern Horticultural Award 2020 Level 1 Hourly rates is on offer for all packers . Previous (and current) physical outdoor activities or lifestyle habits will be highly regarded. Outdoor work can be either cold and wet OR hot and dry. We need reliable, flexible workers. Regular lifting and bending. Gentle but fast hands needed. Ability to follow instructions is a must. Work is offered on a casual basis. You must have the ability to travel to or reside in the Manjimup and surrounding areas, as no public transport is available.
