Since its establishment, Expert Education has built an extensive global network comprising more than 80 branch offices across 23 countries, over 600 education partners and a multilingual team of qualified education counsellors and registered migration agents. The Melbourne office works closely with universities, vocational institutions, English language providers and migration professionals to deliver comprehensive education and visa solutions tailored to students' individual goals. The business also conducts education seminars, interview programs, exhibitions and year-round digital marketing campaigns to engage prospective students and strengthen relationships with partner institutions.

Expert Education and Visa Services Melbourne is seeking an experienced and creative Social Media Specialist to develop and manage engaging digital content across multiple online platforms. The successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening the company's online brand, promoting education and migration services, supporting student recruitment campaigns, increasing audience engagement and generating high-quality enquiries from prospective international students.

The ideal candidate will possess strong content creation skills, sound knowledge of digital marketing analytics, and the ability to develop targeted social media campaigns that align with the organisation's marketing objectives and the evolving needs of international students.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, create, schedule and publish engaging marketing content, including text, graphics, photographs, videos and short-form digital media across the company's social media channels, website and other digital platforms.
• Develop social media campaigns promoting study opportunities, education fairs, university partner events, visa information sessions, scholarships and student success stories.
• Produce culturally appropriate and audience-focused digital content targeting prospective international students from diverse international markets.
• Manage content calendars to ensure timely publication of campaigns aligned with university intake periods, education exhibitions, promotional events and business objectives.
• Monitor social media engagement across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube, responding to enquiries where appropriate and identifying opportunities to improve audience interaction.
• Analyse digital marketing performance using website and social media analytics, preparing regular reports on campaign performance, audience growth, lead generation and conversion outcomes.
• Evaluate campaign data and user behaviour to recommend improvements to content strategy, audience targeting, search engine optimisation (SEO) and overall digital marketing effectiveness.
• Collaborate with education counsellors, migration consultants and business development staff to develop marketing content highlighting education pathways, visa services, partner institutions and student support services.
• Coordinate digital promotion of education seminars, student recruitment events, webinars, open days and international marketing campaigns.
• Maintain brand consistency across all digital platforms, ensuring content reflects the organisation's professional image and complies with company branding guidelines.
• Research emerging digital marketing trends, competitor activities and platform innovations to recommend new strategies that enhance online visibility and student engagement.
• Work closely with external designers, photographers and videographers where required to produce high-quality multimedia marketing content.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Business or a closely related discipline. At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
• At least one year of relevant experience in social media marketing, digital content creation or digital marketing, preferably within the education, migration, professional services or related sector.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.

Skills Required

• Strong copywriting, content creation and storytelling skills.
• Proficiency in managing major social media platforms and content scheduling tools.
• Sound understanding of SEO principles and digital content optimisation.
• Experience creating engaging visual and video content using contemporary design software.
• Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills.
• Creative thinking with a strong understanding of audience engagement and digital brand development.
