Kiehne Guy Labour Hire Pty Ltd are a small crop farm located in Gumlu, North Queensland that requires approx. 80 seasonal horticultural labourers who are hardworking and physically fit to weed crops, prune mango trees and pick/pack capsicums, rockmelon and mangoes and other general farm duties. Your own transport is a vital requirement as the farm is out of town with no access to public transport. Six to nine months of work is expected to commence in March/April 2027 and no previous experience is necessary as training is provided on the job and there will be no opportunity for upskilling within the positions. Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly in an outdoor environment with work being very physical due to constant bending over and repetition in high humidity. Successful candidates will be required 6 days a week or depending on the seasonal nature of fruit ripening for 7am starts to work in a range of weather conditions, be able to pick on picking booms, work in a team with others, take directions and work quickly with accuracy. They may also be required to work in a busy packing shed if needed. Successful candidates will be offered employment on a casual basis under the Horticultural Award and will be provided with a minimum average of 30 hours per week.
